In a new report Thursday, DigiTimes claims that Apple is working on upgraded MacBook Pro and iMac models that will launch in the first half of 2011. The report cites “sources from upstream component makers” in suggesting Apple has at least four refreshed MacBook Pro models on tap, which will have slightly updated chasis designs. It also states that the company will release an iMac model with a new display size and a lower price point. The new computers will be manufactured by Foxconn and Quanta, and DigiTimes’ sources estimate 2011 Apple notebook shipments to be in the range of 13 to 14 million units.
