When OTA delta updates were announced whilst telling us what's new in iOS 5, the immediate question that sprung in jailbreakers minds was that is it going to be possible to jailbreak iOS 5? If updates are delivered OTA, how will it be possible to jailbreak new versions of iOS 5? MuscleNerd of the iPhone Dev Team answers this question.
He said in a tweet:
over-the-air delta updates of iOS should be fine for JBers (even if Apple didn’t let you disable them, the JB itself can)Which means that even if Apple does not give an option to turn off iOS 5 OTA updates by default, users will be able to do it by jailbreaking their devices. We have yet to see who comes out first with an iOS 5 jailbreak. What do you think?
How fast will iOS 5 be jailbroken when it comes out this fall? share you thoughts with us in your comments below.
